Turbo&Auto

Nick Go FAST!!
My buddy has a mid 80's full size Chevy pickup with a LS1 motor swapped into it. He has the turbo manifolds and what looks like 2 GT28RS turbos. Not sure on exact year of the truck, the motor code or exactly which turbo's they are yet. He's supposed to be bringing it all up again tonight to nail down what everything is exactly and then make a build plan. Just wanted to post up if anyone has some thoughts on things to watch out for with this buildup. I will of course post some pics of the truck and parts when he comes up :)

I dont know about that. Ive seen vids of that truck and its pretty bad ass!!

My friend just wants a ridiculous street vehicle. :)

Parish FTW. That is one fast truck. Didn't he put that setup into a fairlaine?

Parish's truck is a monster.

If I were in the position to have a build like that I would set my goal to be equal or greater then Parish's.

who's parish?
CarAudiophile use to post up a lot of videos that featured Parish smoking bikes and other built cars on the street; Blue Silverado IIRC.

I believe he had the fastest street legal truck, I don't know if anyone beat it though. It was in the 10's IIRC.

yup. that truck held alot of records:D

He sold it on ebay from what i last remember. He had a new setup in hoping to get into the 9's. i think he did it too:ph34r:

The silverado was awesome, but it needed more.

There are 2 turbo trucks around me worth mentioning.

One is a 2000 Blazer with a 6.0 and a huge single.... it went 10.28

the other is a 83 longbed 2wd with a 355 and twin tractor turbos... the whole truck was built for less than a grand and right now it should be low 11s on low boost and deep into the 10s on high.

btw, put good rod bolts in the bottom end and itll hold together till about 650 on the ground.

good luck and have fun.

That truck is sick. But Parish has a heavy 4wd truck, that is a lightweight 2wd LUV. Parish did a good job for what it is.

He has a turbocharged v8 chevy pickup that is street legal?? In what sense will that truck pass emissions? It goes like hell, but there is no way on gods green earth that THAT truck is street legal.
