I have installed a B18C OBD1 GSR Manual Transmission motor in my 2000 Honda Civic and ther is a problem that I cant seem to resolve. The axles connection point at the engine are lower as compared to the axles connection point at the wheels. However, the gear rods are perfectly straight. I have used the original B18C mounts and shift linkage that came with the engine...

The car drives fine when driven in a straight line, but on turns as you press the throttle, it starts to loose grip and start sliding. Also, when you shift gears and release the clutch there is a screeching sound from below the car, not sure if its the axles or something else.

If I raise the engine to straighten the exles, then the gear rods point slightly upwards and are out of place. Also, if the engine is raised, then it touches the hood...

I have tried various things, but nothing seems to work. Please help me resolve this strange issue as it is a growing problem....

Wrong section!

I believe you're suppose to use the Civic side and rear mount(all parts from 99-00 cx/dx unless otherwise stated):
itr front passenger side mount
itr front driver’s side mount bracket
Si driver’s side upper engine mount bracket with stock driver’s side upper mount and frame mount.
stock passenger side transmission mount and frame mount.
Si rear engine mount bracket and stock rear frame mount.

Also, is your car lowered? If so, it's normal for the axles to be angled.

Sounds like you got shafted on that trans. I saw a sohc do the same thing a few years ago. It turned out that they welded the differential inside.

Thanks for you help guys... I really appreciate it, lemme try it and I shall get beck to you... I'm new to this forum and thus, the wrong section... Hope it work out...

I have ordered the required part as detailed below, could you please tell me if these are the right ones as I really need help on resolving this issue... There is another problem, the check engine light is on as I have installed a Edelbrock Victor X intake manifold and throttle body, is this issue due to the IAB Solenoid?? Does anyone know how to resolve this problem??

1) The rear trans bracket: 50827-S04-N10
2) The front trans bracket: 50843-S04-N10
3) The block bracket: 11910-P30-000
4) The P7J a/c bracket: 38930-P7J-000 (but that is w/o the idler mechanism)
