So I decided to make some hamburgers, that I recently bought, on my George Foreman Grill... I can't believe how much grease came out of just 5 patties...

Even with all this grease and fat out of the patty, they were still very tasty and juicy. Here is the brand I got if you guys ever wanna try them out...

BTW - That's not the price I paid...

OK, maybe it doesn't beat Jeffie's Hand's On kitchen... But the title still made you guys look :D

I know the pics suck... they are from my phone...

I hate that damn grill, the idea of removing flavor from food just doesn't make sense to me.

I'd rather eat something really fatty once a week that makes you wanna nut because its so damn good, then to eat healthier versions of the same dish 2-3 times a week. Thats why we have Fish and Chicken, to fill in on the days we need to eat good. =)

While that product doesn't sound bad, nothing will come close to griding your own meat right on the spot then forming and cooking the patties within minutes of griding.

Does the box list the contents of the burgers? I'd love to know what mix of meats they use. $7.50 a pound isn't a bad price at all if its a good mix of meats.

P.S post up a review of that product on HOK =)

good steak cost less than $7.50/lb.

i wouldn't expect a good burger to be frozen though. just doesn't seem fresh to me.

and you are supposed to take pictures of the finished product.

Yeah, in some things, the grill does remove flavor. Especially if i'm grilling a steak.

What do you mean by grinding your own meat? Do you mean like forming them with ground beef? or do you mean actually using a meat grinder?

I think the box does list the contents but I gotta head of to work right now. I'll try and get some pictures of the contents and post them up on HON.

I bought a huge box of meat for $100. This box had 6 seperate boxes of different meat. 3 boxes had steaks. I'm not exactly sure what type, we ate them already and I threw the boxes away. 1 box had these hamburger patties. Another box has Filet Mignon. And another box had some chopped up meat to make kabobs.

Fuck man, I know!!! My dumb ass ate the product, then decided to take pictures. I failed, I know lol...

George Foreman grills sucks major donkey ASS.

Fixed it for you. Forman burgers taste horrible. If you dont have a real grill buy a 15-20 small camp fire one and use that.

Where do you buy your meat? unless its in an Asian market I can't figure out what "good meat" is to you.

Then again it could be priced by area, normal priced beef ranges from 9.99-16.99 on sale you can get lucky and find bone in ribeye for 5.99 porterhouse/T house use to go on sale for 4.99 a lb but now its up to 6.99 a lb, normal price is something like 12.99 for porterhouse/T bone.

Hamburgers - Hands on Kitchen

for how I grind my meat.

Frozen pattys FTL! then again, if they grind them using good cuts of meet then freeze it ASAP, I see no problem with it being frozen.

LOL.

I'm a stickler on my meat. Look at package dates, etc. A good price per lb that I pay is around 10, but that would be an average. ONce in a while I splurge and get a tbone that isn't on sale, or I get some flank steak on sale.

About the only thing I use my foreman grill for is to make grilled cheese sandwiches. They are really good on there. Butter on the outside of the bread, and enough cheese so that it starts to come out of the sides and get crispy, mmm. Burgers on it are teh suck. I think it's actually physically impossible to get a burger cooked on the foreman that is both cooked and moist.

Why buy pre formed hamburger patties? They aren't nearly as good as if you just buy ground beef and make them yourself. I think preformed is more expensive anyways.

They aren't as tasty, but they're good for "fast cooking" :) I don't care much for burgers though; as long as it's as good as a Whopper or better, it gets a thumbsup from me. Hell, I'm eating a CookOut burger right now! lol.

If I wanted to spend time on a meal, I'd go pit roast a hog or something. But that's me... :-D

PS: everything seems coherent to me that I typed, but in case not, Bacardi 151 has to do with it.
