I got an EG hatch with only three mounts hooked up: the engine, transmission and rear. The two front mounts for the tranny and motor are missing The engine side mount is after-market poly unrithane, the rest are stock. Im running a B18 b1 with an an after-market exhaust manifold. Will there be any problems.

Woo...umm, I personally would NEVER take the chance in using anything but all of the mounts, but that's just my personal opinion/is common sense as far as I am concerned. Look at it this way, and this is just my opinion once again, but would you really want to run your car with only three tires instead of four? Think of what could happen there. :D

I have the rear mount, the driver side mount, the trans mount, and the lower driver's side mount. I do not have the paddle style front transmission mount hooked up and it is very stiff. I see that mount as unnecessary. I recommend using all of them but if you really don't want to or can't, then at the very least, the three main mounts MUST be used just to hold everything in place.

That paddle style mount you are speaking of is the torque mount. It is actually not really needed if you have solid mounts, which you do not. You can take your chances, just dont get shift happy and start full throttle shifting or launching hard or else you will break a mount.

I won't. I looked for one for a long time but I couldn't find one anywhere, and as we all know, the d-series does not fit a b transmission. I will replace it some day but for now, I need a daily driver and it seems fine how it is. I do not burn out, launch hard, or power shift b/c in my experience, this is what snaps axles, mounts, burns clutches, etc. I can not afford to nor want to start replacing parts in a car I just dumped $3000 into to get running.

Yea agreed, i had a friend who thought it was cool to test the motor out with 4/5 of the mounts, when he came back all of the rubber on the insides of the mounts were broken/torn. id get all of them if i were you.

bare minimum needed and can be solid is the rear t bracket tranny mount/torque mount and the side motor torque mount...more will stiffen it up better and hold it in place but not required.
