i am putting a jdm b18c into a 98 ex. ok the swap is going good and everything is peachy.but ive been wondering if i have a 7,000 redline cluster with a 8,200 redline motor (gsr) going into my car, how am i gonna make the tach read right. i do not want an aftermarket tach that sits on the dash or a teggy swap. is there any aftermarket
clusters that bolt right in and read 8,200 redline for a96-00 civc
 
yea i agree with ahh vtec, if you want to be a cheap ass like me i just bought an electronic tach so i go 30 in a school zone but tis actually 25 =) lol
 
You don't need the si cluster, i use my stock ex cluster with my b16 swap, it works fine. You just go black a little bit if you redline.
 
no serious, i found a couple of jdm clusters that will fit my car but they all read km/h instead of mph. ive read a couple of gsr cluster swaps but im not into that. i just want a replacement or aftermarket thats reads a gsr redline
 
i would go with the si cluster too or the jdm civic type r one...it more closer but to tell you the truth its not that bad if u go a little over the redline or not. no one shifts exactlt right on it....or if not you can set up the gsr cluster in your ek and just repin everything...its a lot of work ahahaha

its alot of work, yes it is. but the jdm cluster i found, it swaps right into my car. no pain in wiring or custom fabrication, it goes right in. but i want an easy swap just like this but measured in mph instead km/h. this jdm swap can be found at inlinefour.com , check it outits for a 96-00 civic
 
yo my name is eddie and i have an ef8 with a full kpro.ithink u shouldn get an ls cluster. and im sure it would bolt on and it reves to 9krpm.
