ok, so i'm trying to avoid going to the doctor, but i may have to. I wake up 5-7 times per night. i can't sleep through the night. i get up, look out the window, check the clock, get too hot, it's always something. I'm always dragging ass at work, i can't get a good workout at the gym, i'm really struggling. The only time i get sleep is if i take 2 or 3 tylenol pm with 2 aleve/excedrin. and then i'm out and can't wake up for 10 hours.

I know some of you guys have issues too. any advice?
 
benadryl (sp) was recomended by a doctor. no chance on getting hooked and dosen't leave you with the sleep med morning after hangover.
 
well the orignal is "drousy" don't get the "nondrousy". Check the recomended dosage and try that if that dosen't cut the mustard take a tablespoon more the following night. That's what the doc recomended for my ex, she couldn't sleep at night due to OCD. She would obsess about things mind racing and couldn't sleep. Also you might want to google up "sleep hygiene". There are certain things you can do to get yourself into a routine that triggers your body to sleep. Some things that were suggested: no tv in the bedroom, no discussing the things you stress about before bed, keep the bed linnens clean and use febreese (clean pleasant smell), read something relaxing

Sex is directly linked to sleeping. Wack it or get it wacked for starters.

Smoke a fatty right before you want to goto bed, get some head....pass out :)
 
yeah, i practice a lot of the common stuff. taking a warm shower or bath, no t.v., not eating too close to bed.

bah, i used to take 2 lunesta and a shot of tylenol pm. but that was when i hated the gf i had at the time and didn't want her to bother me. i was literally in a coma, but it wasn't healthy.
 
I used to do the green NyQuil of death and jeagermister, when not feeling well. That will put you out every time.
 
if i remember correctly you had a thread a week or so ago about feeling generally "blah"
now you are also experiencing sleep issues

go get some 5HTP (100mg) take it once a day with food for a week
you should see a noticable improvement in mood and sleep patterns

stick with the 5HTP until you finish the bottle (should be 45 in the 100mg bottle)
if after you stop taking it for a week or so, you seem to be staying ok, then just pickup another bottle to keep on hand for next time you get blah... if you notice you are getting blah again after stopping the 5HTP then stick with it and take it as a daily supplement

5HTP can be found at any drugstore... if you are having trouble finding it, go to drugstore.com and get it there

5HTP isnt "cheap" its going to cost you $10-15 for the 45 100mg pills... i wouldnt recommend it if i thought it wasnt worth it though
 
well, i generally have sleep issues. either nightmares, anxiety, or just generally living in a noisy neighborhood and have an integra parked in the street.

5htp, i'll have to look it up.

on the "blah" note. i'm doing a lot better now. like my sig says, i found my fight club. it's not a real fight club, i'm just using it as a metaphor. i'll post about it when i'm not at work.
 
5HTP is the precursor to Serotonin (its what your body uses to make Serotonin)

hey i wont lie... i found out about 5HTP when i was taking MDMA... MDMA needs Serotonin to work, the more Serotonin you have the better, stronger, and longer the effects of MDMA are... also 5HTP helps reduce the "hangover" after taking MDMA (due to reduced Serotonin levels)

i would recommend excedrin PM over tylenol PM anyday

compare the ingredients in both
or walmarts brand of sleeping pills which have the same ingredient as excedrin PM for like 3 bucks a bottle
