I bought a pair of JDM 1 piece headlights for my DA, does anyone know how to go about putting these in like, do i need to take off my bumper or anything

Generally when you replace the entire headlight assembly you have to remove the front bumper cover. You will see that they bolt directly to the radiator support (the peice that your cover attatches to). In fact you will see the existing headlights bolted to that top rail.

Now if you go from bug eyes to the JDM style you have to mount a whole new radiator support, which is pricey and can be a big headache....

If i remember all the bolts are 10mm and it should not take too long to do. Just look at everything carefully before you do it and don't yank when you think you have all the bolts out and it won't give. Chances are you missed something.

Can i get three credits for that so i can stop taking these damn night classes now?

I´m not afraid to admit when i don´t know something. It´s far preferable to pretending you do when you obviously don´t...

thanks for the advice, im gonna do as stated and not jump right into this and take my time since i really dont know how to take the bumper cover off just yet, never really had a purpose to do so till now

I have jdm 1 piece lights in mine, unfortunately i cant help you much since i bought the car with them.

From the looks of it just seems like it just bolts in and out like the stock ones. Finding all the bolts might be hard tho.

hey man your most likely going to need to drop the bumper. i just did the job on my civic like 2 weeks ago. its an easy job. post pics of what you bought. also check (like blanco says) a repair manuel. with it u can at least begin to educate yourself on what u need to do and then ask questions in detail in the forums. i can only say this from personal experience.

Just go to AutoZone and buy yourself a Hayne's manual. It will tell you how to do all kinds of stuff to your, usually with illustrations. Bumper removal will certainly be covered.

yeah i did that on my own actually, cuz i have to do some other work to it, but i got the new headlights in, pics will be up when i take them
