this is the canadian 98 d series si, lowered suspension, reactive air intake and exaughst manifold and gauges,chrome valve cover, crome shift stick. jdm headlights, and smoked led tail lights,its not much but its' mine.

That model in the states is the "ex". If it has power moonroof, windows, locks, mirrors etc.

Well it kind of does, "forumly" speaking... FTW = for the win, FTL = for the loss. Pretty much means he thinks your car is crap. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, just clarifying the situation for you to understand.

I think your car is nonvtec. The tach redlines at like 6600, vtecs redline at usually around 7200 at least my jdm d15b vtec does.

It's not a bad first ride :thumbsup: we all gotta start with something to get around. Basically the same as mine, cept mine is a '93 dx sedan, came with a crap d15b7 nonvtec so I ran it into the ground and swapped in a d15b vtec and ex cluster, it came with Akimoto sports short-ram intake, 2.25" cat-back exhaust piping, NGK plug wires, and a decent muffler that doesn't rattle along with some suspension like it's lowered on coilovers, front strut bar, z3 fenders, and I believe JDM bumpers too. Because my bumpers have a black lip at the bottom which I compaired to pics of JDM bumpers and that's what they look like. Also came with 17's and like-new yokohama 205/40zr-17 tires with most of the tread they get great traction.

So I got lucky, bought the car already with a decent set up visually it's exactly what I want and I'm working on performance, don't see myself getting another car any time soon especially with gas prices these days.

Pretty sweet first ride. Don't know if I like the aftermarket headlights and tail lights, but that's just me. It's all personal preference anyways.

I'll second that, buying a car yourself for the first time makes it that much better.
 
The y8 and z6 that would be in that car if it was an ex both redline at 7200 as well. That car is a DX. not an EX. at least it doesn't have an ex cluster, which wouldn't make any sense. But either way its a nice first ride for sure, and all he was saying is the chrome valve cover is no good, as for the rest of the car its not bad. Its better than my first and second cars.
 
I never thought about the possibility that u might think someone may have bought this for me.....ofcourse i BOUGHT IT MYSELF, it wouldnt be MINE then. chrome is a waste of money!tell it to buddy i bought the car from!

also you dont know what you're talking about its a d16y8 sohc vtec do some research... i think me and blanco have covered this....
