1/4 panel rust

ok this is my second 94 and up integra and i have the same prob in this one which is the rust on the quarter panel and i was wondering wat is the cause of this and i know it is a known prob with most honda but was makes it happen and can it be stopped

move to Arizona.....no rust here in the sunny part of AZ! I grew up in Illinois and hated the rust...was in total shock when I moved here.

If it's gotten to the point where the quarters are visibly rusted than the only way to really fix it is to cut out the rusted pieces and weld new metal in. You can try sanding it down, slapping some Bondo on, and repainting it, but it will come back, guaranteed...
