ok i have been looking up headers for the past week and i have noticed there are more choices for the b18 then there is for the b16 now i know the b18 is taller then the b16 so i wanted to know is there a major difference with the actual hook up of the exhaust? meaning am i going to have to make special bends or move my cat around so on so forth if i get an integra header. or is it just going to be closer to the ground then the b16 header. the reson why i am asking is because in the next year or so i am building a b18 block to put my b16 head on and i don't want to buy another header later on in the game. so should i just get the b18 header and call it a day? or is it going to be more work getting a b18 header now?

also is there a big difference with the usdm header and the jdm itr header?

get any b series header they all mix and match ( i bould recomend a b18 header)....i used a stock b16 Exh manifold on my lsv for a while then i bought a cheap Egay b18 header until i finish my turbo kit..... the size of the tubing is smaller on a usdm header.....

thanks man that is exactly what i needed to know i guess for the time being i am going to go with an ebay one because i am also parting together a turbo kit do you still have that header?

The B18C header is taller than the B16A header. The B16A header will work on a B18A/B and a B20B/Z block, but most will hit the oil pan on the bottom of a B18C or a B16B because of the deeper pan (has to clear the girdle). To be safe, the taller B18C headers will work fine with all B series blocks. The hookup to the exhaust is the same- you won't have to modify to change between the two types of headers.

just to reiterate: a friend of mine and some of us had to use some serious elbow grease and ingenuity to get his b16 header on his b18 swap... just some additional thoughts

Awesome post! I'd heard that the B18C was different, but nobody had ever said why, thanks.

I'm glad your excited man, but next time check the dates on stuff before you post. This thread is over three years old...

Good eye, lol. All the same, I find that many of the things like that, it's easy to find the what, but much harder to track down the why.
