Mustangs can be fast... they just break constantly. Poorly designed engines if you ask me.

You said you were going to turbocharge your engine for less than $750. That, is near impossible unless you buy some cheap-o junk kit off of ebay. Ive had two kits from them, one was 800 bucks missing a downpipe (ssauto), that manifold cracked and had shaft play horrendously after a month. Than there was another kit with a cast manifold that held up pretty well for a while, but the oil seals in the turbo started to leak oil under load. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

true true you do get what you pay for but a friend of the family owns a speed shop so i am just going to take some of the stuff over there for him to go over or im just going to homemake a turbo kit with a turbo from some other car and just buy all the other things from ebay such as the intercooler and wastegate etc.

When you turbocharge your engine, there are 3 critical elements that need to be quality. Your manifold, wastegate and turbo. You can contact Peakboost for a manifold, Tial for a wastegate, and turbonetics/precision/garret and so forth for a turbocharger.

So you're going to buy the cheapo E-Bay shit, take it to your friend, and say "hey man, I just spent a bunch of money on this stuff, can you tell me whether it's junk or not?"

Sounds like a shitty idea to me...

Oh, and don't cheap out on your wastegate, I've seen plenty of generic E-Bay ones crap out on people...

When you turbocharge your engine, there are 3 critical elements that need to be quality. Your manifold, wastegate and turbo. You can contact Peakboost for a manifold, Tial for a wastegate, and turbonetics/precision/garret and so forth for a turbocharger.

You forgot the most important thing: tuning. You'll want to get a real engine management system not some shitty FPR or something.
