What ECU are you using? If you're using an automatic ECU on a manual tranny car that could be the culprit...

I am having the same problem on my B20...Got under the hood and noticed that it was my throttle cable. The thingy the throttle cable connects too with all the springs wasn't going all the way down when I was off the gas, and it was causing it to idle between 2500-3000. I loosened that bolt and moved it back and now it's fine...

Maybe it's the same for you...Worth a look.

well i know its not the ecu for a fact cuz its the same one that was in there for my d16z6 manual trans..and as for vacume leak theres like only 3 or 4 lines and i knoe there all hooked you..but im gonna try the throttle cable thing..because im stumped on this one

the vacuum lines can be hooked up and still leak.. while the car is running spray some carb cleaner around the base of the intake manifold, throttle body, sensors and vacuum lines... if you have a leak it'll start to die out when you spray where the leak is

There can still be leaks. Also, leaks can come from gaskets or components not being tighted all the way(like IACV, throttle body, intake manifold, etc.)

exactly... thats why you do this to find the leak ..

well i uncliped the iac sensor and it idles perfect now?!? i thought when you unhook it th idles ruff? idk it runs fine so im not gnna complain...thanks for the help though guys

If your idle is perfect, and you unclip the IACV, the idle drops and usually struggles.

By unclipping the IACV to get an ideal idle, you're just band-aiding the problem.

true..my vtec isnt engageing also? i have perfect oile an di changed the oil presser sensor..what else could it be? thanks again guys
