Do work
Everyone's got their sort of "deadly sin" candy. Mine happens to be jelly beans, and those cream filled chocolate eggs, about the size of an oval golf ball. What I need to know, is how some of you guys avoid your favorite candy, or deal with the cravings. I'm a very healthy individual for the most part, I weighed myself in yesterday at 143, being a little short of 5'9. I go to the gym daily, and incorporate at least 30 minutes of intense cardio into my workout. But it just sucks, especially with Easter just passing, both of my favorites can be found anywhere, for dirt cheap. I just pounded a semi-small bag, probably 4 oz or so of assorted jelly beans, and it just seems like I can't fucking say no. And I can't have just a handful. Same with those eggs. I killed 7 Saturday night. 7 of them.

Sure, this may be a stupid thread but I need a few good ideas. I have good self discipline, but maybe my dieting habits are just all wrong in general.

dude, you're a fat fuck!

i LOVE charleston chew, robins eggs and snowcaps. luckily i barely have any of those ever. only some stores now carry cchew, robins eggs are easter and i never go to the movies and get snowcaps.

Gummi anything....

I don't resist though as I am one of those skinny little bastards who can eat a tub of lard and not gain an ounce.

I remember in college (here we go again...) a pack of gummie savers got passed out while everyone was coloring with crayons. Houses full of people on acid do strange things, like try to trace the shadow of thier hand but it keeps moving...

Anyway the gummi savers all got eaten and the next morning four or five crayons were missing. We never found out who was guilty, I mean I woulda come clean if I crapped em out the next day...

But anyway I digress...

My poison is gummi anything...

all the rest had to go when i joined the navy/became a dad...

Mike an Ikes, I just cut down but I was on 2-3 boxes a day. And Jelly Belly jelly beans, but they're just so expensive I buy Mike and Ikes instead.

7 cadbury eggs? i would go into sugar shock. that would be like a straight insulin shot. fuck that.

i'm addicted to candy bars.

butterfinger, snickers, reese's pb cups, m&m's, chick-o-sticks. but i have cavities and the shit hurts too much. too lazy to go to the doctor.

reese's stuff

the reese's eggs, that come in the yellow wrappers are the shit

ye, the chocolaty penut butter combo is hard to beat

and for some reason, i thought this post was going to be about some girl named Candy. Must have been the capitalization :D

wow, i missed that part
i have trouble eating one cadbury egg cause its so sweet

you try the caramel ones yet?
I've had a ridiculous sweet tooth since I was little. I have tried the caramel ones, but I'm partial to the originals.

Sorry, didn't mean to get your hopes up :)

I absolutely love candy because its delicious.

Kit kats, snickers, twix, twizzlers, gummi anything, M&Ms, peanut M&Ms, chocolate covered pretzels.

What do I do? I simply abstain. I don't remember the last time I bought a candy bar. Before this Easter, I don't recall the last time I ate candy and I mean in any quantity. I know for a fact the last time I ate candy, it would have been in minimum quantity. This Easter I was bad and had two fun size kit kats and a couple handfuls of M&Ms.

To me, its all a matter of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Most people don't go to the extremes that I seek to mold their body the way in which I choose to mold myself. I stick to a high protein diet typically eating six egg whites (or some combo of 6 eggs, depending whether I'm bulking up or cut), two turkey burgers, two chicken breasts, a can of tuna, and two protein shakes daily. The rest of my food is either complex carbs., (10minute brown rice, sweet potatoes, potato wheat bread, whole grain non fat pretzels, oatmeal), simple carbs from fruit or 100% fruit juices, and healthy fats (olive oil, peanut butter, anywhere omega fatty acids are found).

I have cheat meals once in awhile and sometimes if I have a bad week, I have a couple cheat foods throughout the week. Some people even suggest having an entire cheat day, one day a week.

In the end, its all a mater of what will make YOU happy.

I know I went off on a bit of tangent, here, when you were just talking about candy. For the average person, your height and weight looks better than the rest of the obese country. I say this not knowing your body composition, but at your current height and weight most people would just be foolish, say "I'm skinny", throw their health to the wind, and eat whatever they like. Its commendable if you're dieting and/or exercising; you're above average if this is the case.

i'm in the same boat as total, (probably should learn your real name).

i work out so much and trying to get into prime physical condition, i don't eat much junk. unfortunately every time girlfriend has her period, she makes cakes and buys junk food. i hate having it around the house.

'im not big on candy.

hell, i still have a bowl of it from haloween in the house... just sitting there. i'll probably pass it out again next year. lol

Just don't buy it.. its that simple..
I eat the hard peppermint candy all day, first thing I do when I get up is have one because it helps so much with my morning sickness.

you're pregnant?
haha, you've been looking at all those pics of mommy tits. check the gf thread. i remember asking her about it, she said something in there about it initially.

Oh i forgot about sweet tarts, and lemon drops, and Alexander the Grape...

When I get home, I'll post up pics of my tongue (Yeah, I actually keep it on record). my tongue is so geographic that I almost have no sweet tuned buds.

I don't crave sugar at all. I do, however, love my chocolate. Pretty much any chocolate. Lindt, Godiva and the like are my faves, but I don't HAVE to have them.

When you crave chocolate, by the way, it's mostly your brain craving the slew of chemicals in chocolate: Not the least of which is a pretty good amount of THC.
