i dont know if that's completly acurate, tho interesting.

i know for a fact honda traded the design for the Pilot from Izuzu, and honda gave them the design to the odyssey.

not a bad conversion if you've got a 4 door EK

lol nice. who made the motor for that car? with the izuzu oasis, it used a honda motor still

What about GM and Isuzu? The Colorado and the Isuzu version are almost identical. The s10 and the Hombre pretty much the same. The pup and the s10 very close.

yup yup yup. even as complex as this chart already is, it seems it's not even every tie!

All originally Isuzu designs.

E: Is this the same chart I sent you a while back ?

The one I had was a little older, and showed a relationship between Rover and Honda.

Also didn't cover the small relationship between SAAB and Fuji / Subaru (Lorries and the new 9-5 SAABaru)

This brings back memories of the horrible Chevy Luv.

Just goes to show that nothing is sacred anymore really, the open gateway engine management system used in the lowly MKV GTI is also used on the R8, but all the other Audi models use a slower-reacting version. And, a lot of supercar components have been outsourced to independent manufactuers. Case in point, the Ford GT - it may claim to be the American moniker of supercars worldwide, but it's gearbox is German, the brakes are Italian and the suspension was developed by Lotus.

Anything that isn't Lotus, Italian or german, that carries the Ford logo, is all Mexican.

There are no american cars.

I believe that was because gm owns SAAB and use to own portion of Fuji / Subaru. They however sold their shares in Fuji / Subaru to Toyota, Which is shown on the chart.

I used to own a Rover made Honda Civic. I loved that car, it makes me sad to think about how it died. :(
