hey guys i was thinking of buying this
http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000search.cgi?what=page&item=30005

since ive heard only good things about this site from everyone.... plus they are only 30 minutes away from me so no shipping necessary.... if i get this complete package then what else what i need to complete my swap?? ive been told just a throttle cable, radiator (from 99 up si's?), and radiator hoses... is that it??? would i need to replace any parts like distributor cap, rotor, plugs, etc?? and later if i wanted to modify the engine could i just buy 99-00 si aftermarket partts?? like intake , exhaust, etc??? any help would be greatful for exactly what i need to be done, and then what i could do with the motor in the future... thanks - steve

Parts like intake and exhaust would be more specific to the car rather than the engine. Your 95 is a different chassis than the 99-00 Si, so stuff like an exhaust you'd want to buy for your body style. For an intake, AEM actually makes a hybrid one for 92-95 Civics with B-series swaps. If you're interested in a header, you'd buy one that goes with the motor.

Hope that helps...

Nice, I've was wondering about those questions but had never gotten around to asking them. Thanks Brutal.

ok cool so i understand the modification part... how about the swap part then? as i listed in the first post what other things do i need, or need to replace to make the swap 100% complete? thanks :p

as for parts the throttle cable should work you might have to get a different cable bracket.
Is your car vtec?? if not you will need to wire the vtec.
if theres a twin core radiator in the car now you wont need to change it, just change the hose for a 99-00 si or a del sol with the b16.

see the difference the skinny in the first picture and the fat one in the second picture.

hope this helps a little more.

sweet thanks bro.... my car is a 95 civic ex with the 1.6L vtec motor.... everything is bone stock including the radiator and all, so im assuming it looks like a dual core i would just have to double check but im pretty positive its not that skinny.... and i guess i will have to get the 99-00 si radiator hoses to fit the radiator....i'll check into that throttle cable bracket as well, could i just use a 99-00 si one as well? thanks for all the help, appreciate it !!;)

sweet thanks man.... so assuming i dont do the install myself.... and i brought the complete swap over to the shop with everything i get ( the link in my first post will show you exactly what i am getting) ... what do you guys think is a fair price to pay for someone to install it? i am hoping for around 500$ but am i being reasonable or just being cheap.... cause if its gonna be closer to 1 grand then i'll have to find some friends and do it ourselves...

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it'll cost more than $500 to do it...

Where do you live? I'll do it for $500! It will be done quite nicely at that...

southern california :) .... walnut to be exact.... if you cant do it cause your too far away, then i am thinking about going to a place called jpr motorsports in la habra.... any so cal members heard of them?? they will do the entire swap for a 2nd gen b16a (170 hp) for 3000$ out the door..... seems like a damn good price to me but i wonder what kind of condition everything is in.... i have only heard good things about hmotorsonline, and a few good things about jpr but i dunno.....

3000 out the door everything installed and all taken care of isn't too bad of a price. I have seen worse because little stuff adds up and shit happens. I'd say you should be able to have it all installed and wired 500-700.

well if i do it the hmotorsonline way, its 2250$, plus a few parts (100-200$), plus 500-700 labor.... if i just go the jpr motorsports route its 3 grand cash, pick up my car and drive it away..... im just wondering if i would get as good of an engine and everything if i decide this route...

If the place is reputable then probably, yeah. Usually shops have an engine importer that they go through and since they're regular customers they get discount prices on swaps...
