so heres my dilemma

apparently the motor mounts on 94+ engines are diff then 93 and lower. The engine mount kits are designed for the older type mounts that have the studs diagonally not directly side by side.

so basically i need a post mount from a 90-93 integra.

problem is i cant find one of these at the moment however i did stumble upon a post mount from a b20 and it looks pretty close as far as i can tell. is there anyone who can clarify whether or not i can use this mount? or is the DA mount the only one that will work

even if it would fit i cant just bolt the mount down with one bolt. not to mention if i did that the mount would be sitting closer to the block then its supposed to and then it wouldnt be out far enough to then bolt into the chassis.

well what i was getting at is maybe you can remove the right stud if the left hole lines up then tap a new hole for the right

sounds like a ginormous pain in the ass lol. plus how would i ever know if its actually sitting exactly where its supposed to. i could go to drop the engine in the car and then the motor would end up sitting funny because of that mount not bein right. i appreciate the suggestion :) but i guess ill just have to keep an eye out for the correct side post mount.

oh wait a minute is the mount that your holding in your hand a oem mount

nope, its an aftermarket one to swap a b18 into the 4th gen civic/crx chassis. thats my bad i didnt realize i never made that clear.

Can you just drill another hole in your swap mount? It looks like there is room. I'm just about to tackle the same project.

DO NOT DO THAT!!!!
drilling holes weakens the metal and there is NOT enough room for a new hole anyway, jus get the correct postmount,,i havent been able to talk to my boy yet,but ill let you know asap

I don't see how drilling another hole is going to weaken the mount, but if there is no room for another hole, there's not much point in agruing over it. 90-91 mount it is then.

the da mount is the only one thats gonna work on that... trust i know... i just didnt know what car it was going into... hope that helps.. i wouldnt really recomend drilling a hole.. but if ur desperate and need a car then go for it until you got another one... i've seen alot of weird shit so... who knows

because the design of the mount is like that for a specific reason, and there isnt enough room for another hole, which would cause you to overlap the existing hole and the new hole, causing metal to bend

ya you'd over lap it but it wouldnt be that much.. still wouldnt recomend it... BUT if hes that desperate then do what u gotta do to get it done until he finds... and if u do... i would recommend using a drill press

i've already payed for and am now waiting for a da mount to be delivered. why you guys still talkin about ghetto rigging a motor mount lol

if anyone has one of these lying around though, i could sure use it. i'm not sure what to call it, its like a clutch cable bracket i think you might call it. i just took a look at a friends b18a1 up the street and the cable holder looked diff then that so i dont know which one i need or if either will work.
