ok, I new to this site, but not new to Honda's, I own a 97 del sol si that was turboed but do to financial reasons im putting the car back to stock. Im almost done my rebuild on the y8, but I have one issue remaining

The car came stock with an obd2 p28 which I no longer have. Now my question is can I use an obd2 p2p in its place or do I need to get another obd2 p28, The p2p are a dime a dozen but the p28 are rare to find and are extremely overpriced.

any insight on this issue is appreciated, and If your going to try to tell me that Honda never made obd2 p28 don't post here

I just sold a obd1 p28 and a boomslang harness the car is being put back to stock.

Does anyone know if I can use a p2p instead of a obd2 p28

the p2p is the ecu for the y8, therefore it will work

Get the ecu that matches the engine. If the car is obd2 and the engine is obd2 than get the obd2 ecu for that engine. Keep in mind, you will need an obd2a ecu, not an obd2b.

The easiest way to guarantee it will work the first time and run correctly is to just use the ECU that's meant for the motor. A P2P should be fine, just make sure it's an OBD2A ECU like LS_VTEC said...

I'm selling the ECU you need. OBD2a P2P. Check my fs thread, then hit me up via PM.
