Are all D15B 130 HP dual VTEC engines single wire 02? Since there were made for so many years and both ODBC1 and 2 I would think the ODBC2 setup would be at least a 4 wire. Any ideas would be helpful. From the pics, they all look to be single wire.

well im not sure what your asking, but not all d15b was dual or triple vtec, there was lots that was just single vtec

I'm asking about only dual VTEC engines. D15B with two VTEC solinoids. These engines came in both OBDC1 and OBDC2 versions. I'm asking if ALL versions have only single wire 02s. thanks

ODBC=OBD? If that's what you're talking about, they were only on OBDII cars(96-00). I believe they're 4-wire O2.

thanks, I got the info from the reference section here and other places.
SOHC D15B vtec

130ps@7000/112lbs-ft@5300

3 Stage VTEC+PGM-FI

bore x stroke 75.0×84.5

1,493cc, compression = 9.6:1

92-95 Civic VTi
96-00 Civic Vi

I'm about 90% sure the 92-95 version is single wire

It could be; do they say whether it uses 2 O2 sensors like other OBD2 engnies?

the ones I've seen in person are one 02, the ones I've seen on VTEC Asia must be one 02 and they run a tri-Y like a 98 EX here so the 02 is under the car, I've seen dual 02 on some pictures. All comments are about dual VTEC engines.

Ok I don't know how accurate Wiki is, but says the engine is a "D15Z7" and uses a 5-wire O2 like the VX D15Z1's.

yes that is right, the single VTEC-E uses a 5 wire, so does the HX manual D16Y5.
The above is only about the 3-stage VTEC that has dual solenoids and is a D15B. The reason I'm asking is that all three: D15B 3-stage VTEC, D15Z1 VX, D16Y5 HX are ALL lean burn engines. I don't know how a D15B 3-stage goes into lean burn with a narrow band 02... must not be very lean.. or very accurate.
