Alright Here What i've Got .

Honda Civic Vti aeroback b18c4 UKDM .

That engine is now in my crx .

My plans were/still are too convert from obd0 too obd1 .

So i Ordered a conversion harness obdo - obd1 for my crx .

Bought a obd1 b16a2 Dizzy & a p28 chipped Ecu .

Swapped my old JDM obd0 ecu
Wired All the Harness in CORRECTLY!
Fitted The obd1 dizzy on.
Wired all sensors in correct places.

Car Starts fine. Was loving it .

When i went too take it out when it was warmed up i'd boot it as you do too see what its like . but it would struggle too rev after it got hot . too describe what i mean its like .. when you running out of petrol you hit the gas then it gerguls , lags back . it just cant rev .

Is it something too do with my setup ?

Everything is done correct .

I've checked EVERY sensor .
Every connection .
New distributor .
swapped injectors
and loads loads more.

Anyone know anything ? help.

If you changed the dizzy and all that, try and check the timing. do a compression test also. start out with cheap/easy stuff.

i would definitely like to see pics of the car.

Checked The timing . All Seems Fine .
Compression tested everything comes back with the OEM figures.
I have honestly tried everything .
I think it's down too wiring , sensors , ecu .
I just wanted too know if anyone has had this problem . It's unsolvable ?! .

I'll Get some pics ASAP Just new too this forum .

well, start an introduction thread when you do and post the pics. a lot of people would like to see it. where are you located?

also, check all of your fuses, swap in an ecu that you know is good and check grounds.
 
i agree with nick, i'd be most curious about that "chipped ecu." swap in a known good ecu and retest, then start chasing down wiring.
 
Alright Lads , Yes i will introduce my self in the right section when i find it .. :D .. Im Based in the UK , England , Wolverhampton . Please dont judge me any diffrent or see me as bad now / hate me .

Im here because i purley love Rexs and hondas in general ! Just like all of us i guess :) .

Heres the spec of my car as of now :

B18c4 UKDM Vti Engine with red cam cover . aprox 22 - 28,000 miles.
Engine Damper
B16a JDM OEM LSD g/box :D just been rebuilt .
P28 Chipped ECU vtec crossover point 4480 . rev limiter 10k RPM.
Xercron obdo-obd1 wiring harness & Distrubutor conversion plug(s)
B16a2 obd1 Vti distrubutor
Uprated Engine Mounts nice chrome ones :cool:

[ On the Way ]
BMW Mini eaton supercharger A pair of Bridge Bucket seats with Runners.
Original JDM SiR Crx yellow Fog light kit ( cant wait too wire these in )
d2 Coilovers
New set of goodrich braided hoses.
Hopefully soon do a MG zf Brake disc conversion .


Anyhows '

A list of things i've tried and done with my little CRx ,

Swapped All Sensors . There all being read by the ECU .
No fault Codes .
All Relays / Fueses are all fine .
Swapped Distrubutors
Tried a good known ECU which wasnt chipped .
Compression checked all cylinders , fine .
done the plugs , Done the clearance on them.
done the leads .
Tried b16 injectors & some other b18c4 injectors .
double checked all the wiring .
checked for vaccum leaks .
tried lamba sensor
Nothing is internally blocked. No air in the radiator e.t.c e.t.c
even tried a diffrent alternator LOL :) i was getting desperate for ideas.
Tried another good b16 fuel pump.


Only thing im not too sure on whats the diffrence between a b16 too a b18c4 fuel pump ?

[ how do's the problem occur ]
When i start the car from cold
Starts first time everytime.
Idles straight .
No mis-fires.
I can let the engine warm up ( but not too its full temprature before it start playing up )
When the engine is fully warmed up and i press the accelerator too move off & The revs are on off on off on off , like your cars running out of petrol and it hasnt got the petrol too keep the revs up. feels like its fuel starved .

BUT it only do's this when its HOT .

What im going too do next -

Scrap the car Joking .

Take all off the original obd0 Loom out of the car completley so theres no wires left in .
Go purchase an obd1 Civic ESi 1.6 vtec loom ( these run p28' ecus aswell )
Re-wire Everything in at the engine and see if it works before i start re wiring the whole dash . I know its going too be hard BUT Surley i think it will work now .
Im convinced its the wiring.

What do you lot think ?

Same thing here in Bulgaria with the same motor (b18c4) in a Eg4 Civic :( Done everything i could think that could be the problem and nothing , no idea's what the problem could be .... If you solved it please be so kind to tell me how you did it :)

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY , i fixed the problem so if the topic poster read's this he can check his TPS , my was wired wrong :) AND NOW EVERYTHING IS FINE :)
 
he may need to switch the 2 outside wires on the tps sensor,it does kinda sound thats what the problem is if it feels like its running out of gas cause the ecu thinks the throttle is closing when its really opening
 
hi im new to this forum but i have same setup using obd0 to obd1 harnass b18c4 with b16 head p28 obd1 ecu with s200 hondata kit and obd2 dizzy and injectors and the fw***r will not start all wiring seems good but the diagrams ive followd are all secondhand info off tinterweb ive been over and over and over it again wife whants me to scrap it can any1 help.
its turning over fine there is a good spark and all ht leads in right place but the injectors dont seem to be engaging. im also in the uk based in the official wettest place in the uk betws y coed north wales so that meens im one of few honda boys around and one of the more experianced with modifying hondas so there is no1 to help:( thanks 4 taking the time to read my plea:thumbsup:
