Looking for some suggestions on a transmission to put on 92-95 JDM ZC motor...I have done some research and a lot of what I have found has been a EX tranny, does that sound good or anyone have any other suggestions, comments or concerns?

well, the best would be a d15b lsd tranny,,but other than that the ex or si tranny will be fine

any of the 3 that i said will hook right up its all from civic 92-95 so it will bolt right up, and yes the d15b tranny is more and hard to find, so a si or ex is the way to go prolly

oh ok, well right on...I have been told that a good transmission would be a smart investment, got a 93DX i am going to boost, and I have read that the DX trans has really long gears and that an EX would be much better to put it so ill def. try to find one, thanks for the :)

if your planning on boosting then with the ex or si tranny,,you will have waaay more wheel spin, just throwing that in there for you to think about, cuz nobody ever seem s to worry about actually getting the power to work properly, just about actually getting the most power possible

yeah i am planning on boosting I had already kinda made up my mind on the ex because I was told that like with the ex tranny I would get better gas mileage being on the highway going 60 mph or so than an si which would be at a higher RPM, I just wanted to see some other opinions

i'mma having problems with starting my car up when i put in my tranny(d16y8)...i want to know wat i need to finish wat i had start...first of all, i took out my old tranny(d15b7) and swaped a d16y8....it worked when i tested it but when i acutally ran it, i put it in first gear and test drive it, it didn't go in gear...i took it out again and put it back...now the car won't start..any suggestion of wat has happen?? let me know..thanks..

So your solution to traction problems is to use an inferior transmission and slow yourself down? Traction issues should be fixed through the proper means (LSD, suspension, traction bars, new tires, etc.). I guess it would somewhat depend on your budget though...

You probably heard that about the 99-00 Si tranny. That car uses a B16, so the tranny is completely different.

the ex and si tranny are the same

They're actually not 100% the same, but pretty damn close.

I would suggest you stop butting in on other people's conversations and start your own thread...
