im new to the swap stuff.i got a 99 si and i want to put a 98+ b18c5 type r or ctr 96+
in my si.i just need a link to show me what i really need and what to do w/wiring and ecu. the would be really appricated............

ive got the cash to do ethere one.so $ not a prob....

Depending on the year of the engine, its pretty much a straight up swap out. Your 99 si, is obd2b. If you go with the CTR (b16b), it is most likely out of an ek9, so it will drop right in with no problems. The only thing you would have to do is decide on what ecu you want to use. If you go with the ITR, make sure its a 98+ and it is the same situation, you will just have to use a usdm 99-01 ITR ecu.
 
Just curious, but why exactly would you use a ITR or CTR? Yea they're sexy, but just get a Gsr and boost it if you want the extra power.

Stock ITR swaps are great. They are reliable, make nice power and have plenty room for improvement not to mention their LSD transaxles and shorter gears.
 
hey thx guyz. yo, t3t4delsol. i did search for 99-00 si swap to b18c5 and you get swaping into dx or ex. not trying to start junk..thats why i posted here for help. but its cool......
 
thx for the info guyz.....it will really help.now the only thing is to chose which motor i want.heres some rep for you guyz. an t3t4delsol i did try to search and all that came up was swaping the b18c5 into the dx or ex. i just wanted to know if it was plug n play. but its cool.

YES, if you are going to put up some stupid shit like that then it would be helpful to ask first. We cant help stupid people join but they (you) should at least try to cover it up to make the others (everyone else) look good.

99 SI? Isnt that a factory B16? Just boost the motor thats in it now instead of wasting money on a swap.
