I just picked up an 1990 Integra that the previous owner had said had an LS swap (he had said it was an RS). The title says it is an LS as does the fact that it had A/C and Power windows.

The vacuum wiring was all wrong on the car as they have the PCV connected to the valve cover and no intake on the car. I read downloaded the diag. from this site (which where ok but no perfect).

I picked up and intake and connected most all of the vacuum lines in what seems to be right, or close enough to run. I changed the plugs on the car but am still having the same issue.

The Problem:
The car idles high and runs fine when cold, when it warms up the idle drops. It's not a normal idle bob. It drops from 1k down to almost dead, then comes back up. Works for a second then does it over again. The DTC blink a single, then 16 which showed as a fuel injector code. I couldn't tell if the first blink was a code or just showing that it is about to display the codes. I listened to the injectors and they are all firing fine, however they do fade when the engine drops down. When I drive it, it will work for a minute, but then will misfire under load.

Right now I'm at a loss of where to go next. Not being constant seems a little odd.

So I'm looking to see what you guys think or if anybody else has dealt with the same problem. I did search first before posting.

Thanks,
-Mike

What was it? My idle can be pretty irratic at times when warm.

Well the car lacked a few things from the start, like all of the emissions. With those vacuum lines re-routed to by-pass it it was still doing it. I ended up finding out there was a leak in the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator. I replaced the line and adjusted the throttle (it was on MAX closed at idle) and it's running better. Still other bugs to sort out but it's driving and stays running with a constant idle.
