i have a 92 GS DA i am wanting to boost. stock everything except for 3" exhaust and an intake. i just want to know your opinions on what setup i should run and what would be the best option to tune with? im just considering a lot of different options before i commit to one. thanks in advance. oh and its my DD so nothing crazy lol
 
How much power do you want to make? How much money do you have to spend?

Oh, and just an FYI, that 3" exhaust will be ok for when you go turbo, but it's way too big for a stock N/A B18A1...
 
hell yea it is. i just traded my old s-10 for it and thats what it came with. but im wanting to spend less than 2k. maybe 2500 max but lookin for around 250 hp. i was going to go all motor but just recently decided to boost
 
i say throw out the B18A1 HEAD...come back around and get the B18C1 head on there LS Vtec ull get around 30-55hp on switching the head.then i say get a GT35 turbo and a small ebay front mount. ull get around 180-220hp

stock b18a1 is around 105-110 with the slight mods u got.
so vtec head small turbo 8psi aroun extra 8-hp on turbo and vtec head is about another 30-55 hp so i say 80+40=220hp very daily driver friend.i had that same set-up i spent anout $1700 on parts and labor

$2,500 will definitely go a lot farther power wise if you spend it on a turbo setup rather than an N/A build, plus you won't even have to crack open the block if you don't want to...well, pulling the head off and throwing some ARP studs in there wouldn't be a bad idea, but other than that, you can definitely make 200+ whp boosted on an essentially stock LS motor...

yea the ls is a pretty good turbo motor stock and i was thinking bout it and boosting is a lot more bang for your buck. im not sure if i even want to mess with vtec i might just put some toda turbo cams and a nice kit and ill be done
