So to pass time after work and to avoid getting in more trouble I've decided to pick up an old hobby of mine and start playing final fantasy 11 again a mmorpg, so I'm trying to recruit some others to play along. PlayOnline.com

I got sucked into World of Warcraft a while back. I have spent way too many hours on that game, but it keeps me outta trouble I suppose. I must say though, I went through a rough mental addiction with that damn game. Feel free to laugh, but I am entirely serious. I was flunking classes solely because I cared about playing that game more than doing hw, studying, and sleeping. I lost a great job because I was sleeping a maximum of 3 hours a night. I started losing friends because it's all I would do on the weekends. Hell, I didn't even make an attempt to speak to a female on more than a friendly basis for months. I still play it for a few hours everyday, but I will always leave it for something more important now.

Anyhow, my MMO addiction is already spoken for lol.

lol I tried the whole WoW thing but I honestly couldn't get into it, I playd for like 4 days and stopped. I know what your saying though I was generally the same way about ff11 but with my luck with women lately I figure I'll give dating a break for a bit and fall back into my nerdy habits  I rented turok and have been playing it online a bit too so if anyone plays it let me know and I'll be picking up the new gta when it comes out I'll probably be on their alot

O man i had hard enough time trying to stop playing Everquest i played for 3 years straight from 1999 to 2002..and have quit 5 or 6 times since last year lol....I"M DONE I TELL YA< DONE!

I play Counter Strike on Steam allot though..nothing like runing around with an M4 and D-eagle killing terrorist online with other players :)

I like runescape. laugh if you want, but its easy enough to play. and i have been playing for WAAAAAAY to long lol.

Eve>MMO
Eve is a way of life.
Ok, not really, but it's damn fun if you want to try out something. Crazy learning curve, but hey, you get to fly ships.

I broke my EverCrack disks in half. Whenever I go to a game store I stick to only the 360 section because I always stand and stare at the EQ packs....

I played WoW for awhile too but I can come and go with that game. I have been playing a shit ton of COD 4 and Halo 3, Gamertag: Churched v2

out of curiousity, anyone else plan on picking up the new gta when its released? its online, it should be one hell of a play

I will be picking GTA 4 up at some point. I am looking forward to it.

Yeah, WoW isn't for everyone, but it's the first and only MMO I have ever played. I honestly have no idea what EQ even looks like. I've once watched someone play one of the FF games on PS2. Many other games may be better, but I refuse to even give something else a shot with the chance of even more time wasted.

I started playing Counter Strike right when 1.5 came out. I used to skip school to play for other teams to make 20 or so bucks a match. If you are familiar with the nerd-ass leagues, I was in a CAL-P team and did pretty well in Cevo's league. I was sponsored with a ventrilo server and 2 CS servers. Counter Strike was the first game I got addicted to, and then it was WoW.
Nothing else, though =P. I'm so sad.

I played FFXI for a while, then went to WoW, pretty much play all the time. 15 bucks a month for WoW as compared to ecstasy, which is 15-20 a bean down here. Financially, it;s just smart.

 EXACTLY!! now you see children this mans smart >,>
in response to hmen, I've played all of the FF's and own them all but 9 and 10-2
what most people don't realize about 11 is the shear gravity of all that is to be done and SE just keeps adding new things. To anyone who hasn't played an MMO I strongly suggest you go pick it up, the 08 vanadiel collection was recently released and it comes with everything you'll need to get started. It's available for ps2/3,360, and pc and its all cross-platformed so no matter what your playing on everyone can play together on a given server.

Edit: and I thought $500 was alot for a ps3.....

Eve is the only MMO for me :)
A man after my heart. Playing EVE is like staring at a huge fishtank all night. It lowers the blood pressure, enhances thought. It's like digital meditation. When I lost my job, my EVE login was the first thing to go.

Nice thing about EVE is that there is NO DIFFERENCE between mining asteroids and doing combat. :)

But once you get into something larger, like a Frigate or larger, the battle makes sense. Just moving around in that game is exciting as hell.

PvP in Eve is where it's at. Most intense gameplay of any game I've ever played. I recently joined Fang Alliance (0.0) and we get roaming gangs of 10-50 guys. It works so well because you have to spend a lot of time getting a good ship and when you lose it, a couple weeks of grinding can go down the drain. For me, that's good, I don't like this whole "nothing lost if killed" thing like in WoW.
