Hey everyone so i bought a new 95 civic hatch but the lady that owned it before had some really lame pink and blue and green decals down the sides of the car. I was wondering what the most effective way of removing it would be and how would it look after I did it? will the paint be differnt colors and what products. thanks alot in adcance....I have to get rid of this ASAP cause it looks like crap, any other tips would help as I am putting alot of TLC into this car as it is a project car :D

use a heat gun to get the decal off and if theres glue left try some wd-40 or pb blaster on a rag. worked for me. and the paint might be a little darker where the decal was depending on how long its been on there

plastic blade/scraper thing, paint thinner/adhesive remover or goo gone. Use a blow dryer and heat up the vinyl as you scrape off the decals/striping with the scraper. After you remove most of it, then follow up with the thinner or goo gone.

3M adhesive remover works really well. I thought better then the goo gone.

The rubber wheel on a drill is nice, but be careful

I take off marks and glue with it all the time. Not saying its right or proper but thats what I use it for

Use a heat gun to get the stickers off, after that let the glue dry again, then try WD40 or something of that nature, it would be wise to chase any chemicals you use on the paint with some water and a rag. Thats what we used to do at a body shop i worked at and it works really well.

Chisel it off... so what if it looks f'd up, atleast your not driving around with rainbow colors on your car and people won't think your a homosexual anymore.
