My name is Nick, I am turning 18 in a few months (december 21) and i will be purchasing an EG6 Hatchback. The reason I am going for a civic is because it can be a track/street car. I am going to build this car eventually from the ground up, as a project for Auto X. Where I am from there are many back/windy roads and I love taking them at higher speeds than usual drivers. I am going for lightness and lots of RPM's, therefore I decided to go B16a. I am planning to stay NA but I, like many other owners will want that extra power, thats why I am going to stroke the motor to a 2.0L with 10.1:1 compression . I found due to my last project (mkiii supra) that you can't mod something and expect the next part to last. so i am going to do all the seals bearings intake exhaust cams valvetrain fuel system and ignition system. I have hook-ups for painting and welding so body work and roll bars are not an issue.
Thanks for your time,
Nick

do you have the b16 already?

and just fyi, december is more than a few months away. lol

stroke + revs = bad :D

keep stroke the same.
bump compression and do head work :)

welcome to the site :D

thats why i was going to see if he had the b16a yet. i would say to get a gsr or slap some ctr pistons in it if he already had the engine.

i dont have the motor yet but i plan on getting the motor by the end of summer so its ready for the actual car. i know the GSR is a B18 but B18 what (b18b)? i had plans but you guys are much more experienced then me with hondas. here are my plans around 220-250hp at the front wheels, with no boost and prefer a higher compression and a redline of 8500+ can anyone lead me in a different direction. thanks for the welcoming by the way.;););)

gsr = b18c1

220 all motor at the wheels is going to cost a pretty penny.

probably need 84mm bore, massive headwork, stage 3+ cams, all kinds of valve jobs, 1000 dollar headers, etc etc.

good luck :)

yeah, i doubt you will want to go that route.

if you want that amount of power, get the b16 and a supercharger. it will be like having an NA motor but cost about 1/4 of building it NA.
