I am looking to get the most power out of a swap i can get. My Si hatch has about 183000 miles on it and I am hoping to swap a new engine in that I can get
the most power out of. I have about $2,000 and am looking to get a lot of power. I was wondering what you guys think my best option since I am 16 and I am kind of new at this. As far as I know my two best options are either a B16A1 swap or a D16Z6 boosted. Let me know what you guys think i can do and what would be the best with the most power.

I doubt you're going to accomplish either of those two options if you can only spend $2,000 total...

Well I know I can accomplish the B16A1 around there. I can buy a complete swap for $1500 from a local shop with every thing i need to do the swap and about $500 for installation or I could just put it in myself.

Well I'd probably do that then. A Z6 swap, quality turbo kit and tuning are probably going to run you more than two grand. If you do the B16 now you can always go turbo on it later...

thought about doing that but i would still need a different head because i have a d16a6 which is non-vtec

right.... because only vtec motors meet the requirements to be turbocharged? what you're talking about here is completely false. some of the most powerful turbo cars run non-vtec b18's. your motor is a great candidate for a turbo.

swap the b16 in. Then if you can down teh road, get a turbo kit for that, and run a low pressure system.

people make lots of fun power with boosted b's... and the swap is the right price!

in the meantime, have fun killing almost everything cuz ef swaps are always faster than eg swaps... and man it pisses eg guys off when their shit gets toasted in front of their girl by a stock lookin ef

im way into the d series, but for people who arent nuts about doing things the oddball way b series definitely have awesome potential.

besides, who knows WHAT ur running unless you let them know

the b series has stronger rods, is made to take more abuse, and doesnt need an induction swap to make uber power.

He actually made the same power my Z6 made, for more than twice the cost. KMS fucked his headwork up and lost him major power.

That's right, now that you mention that I remember him I think mentioning it once

Ive got $2000 in my B16 EF swap for car, complete swap, wheels tires, and suspension. But this kid down the way with a turbo Z6 EK is still faster.
