if you have cops around, it's not that fucking tough.

you want to live, just lay on the ground and put your hands behind your head. you can get beat or go to jail, but you live.

jesus people. swallow some pride and open your eyes. just do the smart thing instead of being all about standing up for your rights. (directed at society, no HS members)

Oliver, 36, and Gescard Isnora, 29, were charged with manslaughter while Officer Marc Cooper, 40, was accused only of reckless endangerment. Two other shooters weren't charged. Oliver squeezed off 31 shots; Isnora fired 11 rounds; and Cooper shot four times.
thats absurd
he should not be a cop

:concur:
only 26 of the shots actually hit anyone
a 52% hit ratio at close range :disgust1:
it was dark and they were black men. maybe they couldn't see them. :shrug2:

:lmao:

i think it said they werer in a car trying to get away during all this :shrug2:

1 in the chamber, 15 in the clip x2 = 31 shots
its really hard to say how it all went down
they have the cops version of the story in that atricle

undercover officers + shots = these guys trying to get the fuck out of there, ramming an unmarked police van

i assume they shot till the car stopped moving

two diff sides to the story like they said

The pair were part of "a parade of convicted felons, crack dealers and men who were not strangers to weapons," said James Culleton, Oliver's attorney.

as a judge or jury honestly yea

police officers now a days abuse thier power.

I don't think that's really a very fair statement. People in positions of power have been abusing their power since the dawn of time. Leaders, politicians, corporate executives, whatever. I don't think it's fair to say that all cops are on a power trip because these three particular cops went overboard...

i think this was more of a situation of "group thinking". if you have ever studied psychology you will know that when one person does some stupid shit, everybody around will do it to, most likely if they wouldnt' do it alone themselves.

one cop shot, the others joined in. could have been prevented if the guys just layed on the ground. could have been prevented if u.s. cops didn't carry guns like several other countries.

it's not over.

NEW YORK, April 25 (Reuters) - U.S. authorities will
consider civil rights charges in the case of three New York
police detectives who were acquitted on Friday in the shooting
death of an unarmed black man killed in a hail of 50 bullets on
his wedding day.
The Justice Department will be joined by federal
prosecutors in New York and the FBI in a review of the case,
the department said.
"They will conduct an independent review of the facts and
circumstances surrounding the Nov. 25, 2006, shooting of Sean
Bell and two others that resulted in the death of Mr. Bell," it
said in a statement.
A New York state judge cleared the three police officers of
all charges on Friday.
"The Civil Rights Division and the United States Attorney's
Office have been monitoring the state's prosecution of this
case and, following the review of all the evidence, will take
appropriate action if the evidence indicates a prosecutable
violation of federal criminal civil rights statutes," it said.

i shoulda worded that diff, what i meant like you not all cops. the cops you do hear bout do trip on the power of being one. like all the news you hear bout cops using excesive force. people thrown outta their wheel chairs, people getting stund longer than they should. which im sure all these people did somthing to enforce it but SOME officers abuse the tools and power they have.

that just strikes me as the dumbest thing i ever heard
citizens carry guns legally, crooks illegally
whats the cop gonna do? run like a bitch?

Right, yeah. "Group Think" probably was a factor here. I'm just saying it's not fair to make generalizations about an entire profession or group of people based off of stupid things that a few of them have done...

A person is smart. People are stupid.
