Anybody know a company that makes an ecu for a non vtec sohc d16zc?

for what other reason would I ask.
I figured if i wanted to know what was out there I'd ask you guys
ok then,,the best ecu there is on the planet earth for that motor is the stock one.

good point. alot of people I know said if they would build that engine they would upgrade the ecu. but thats all I needed to know.
yea if the motor is built it might need something but we dont know because we dont know what its for

yeah. I just bought it off my mom because she had the new motor put in it. and im starting off with some typical bolt ons I had a custom exhaust put on it lower temp thermometer, injen intake stuff like that. so now i just bought a bisimoto cam and after that I got excited about it. So I figured Im just gonna turn it into the car no one expects to keep up
I thought that would be pretty fun little project.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa your getting caught up in mainstream bullshit.

my opinion: dont spend another dime, stop posting, and read around the forum for a week. there's a lot to know before just jumping into this. lets hear some background on yourself too. build details would be nice. some plans. then we can critique u more. right now, your in noob soup with a order of wasabi on the way.

is this a daily driver? do you have any idea what a cam profile is? or what type of profile the stock cam had? did you just buy it because it had bisi's name on it?

the lower temp thermostat is worthless, and could hurt your motor.

a good tune is everything. the most expensive solution is not.

Ive built several opel gts and Mantas I am generally informed about honda's although i will take your advice about looking around, and i do know what cam profile is.

I probably will just drive this around everyday. Im just looking for some advice on companys you guys like, i have a tuning shop thats prepared to do the work for me. Living in the area i live in everyone has a honda so all the kids take their cars out there to get them all riced up. I just wanted to turn my civic into a more responsive, more powerful, better sounding car that everyone is gonna be like wow that guy in the old civic just smoked that guy in the integra. I dont want to go over board, keep the gas mileage, keep a relativaly lower db exhaust, andd uhhh yeah. thats about it

suspension. you forgot all about suspension.

whoop ass in the corners as well. it's more fun :)

hondata or crome works fine for tuning purposes. hondata has a lil more backing, and includes datalogging as well as crome pro. there is a free version of crome however. google each and see which is right for you.

your gonna want to turbo if you wanna 'smoke integras'. spending money to make that motor fast naturally aspirated is the expensive way to go slow. possible, but a turbo is just so much easier and effective
