ok guys first of all i'm a nwe to hondas, I bought a 92 civic cx hatchback with a D15B engine and it came with the following problem: It runs great if you accelerate fast, but when i try to take off slow like regular driving it starts going from 1000 rpm and 2000rpm up and down but as soon as you hit the gas a little more till 3000rpm it will accelerate fine but that's to fast you know anyway to make a long story short I took the car to several repair shops and no one found the problem because they're not familiar with the JDM engine so bottom line I'm trying to do it myself now, the last guy told me that the distributor wasn't the right one for the engine, I just pulled it out and it say TD-42U which is the right vtec distri. so he also said that the ECU is the problem as well which is a P28 non chipped so what do you guys think??

CEL codes throwing 14 and 41 and 14 is beacuse i think my wires are missed up, since the plugs look just alike and I don't have a O2 sensor before the cat I'm confused on which of thise 2 is the plug for the IACV I have one plug with a red wire and yellow with black, and the other plug is also a 2 wire plug with a yellow/black wire and the secod wire is blue with a yellow stripe, which one is for O2 and IACV?? sorry for the long explanation.

can anyone at least tell me the colors for the IACV plug and for the O2 sensor plug before the cat converter?? and I'm using a D15z1 distributor, is this ok with this motor??

thanks

I'd have to check on the wires; I got to get ready for work right now. Yes, a D15Z1 distributor should work. None of those are for the O2.

Which wire harness are you using? The stock JDM D15B used a 1-wire O2, but most USDM harness use a 4-wire O2.

I really don't know, like I said I bought the car as is and the person whoi sold me the car is nowhere to be found and my harness have a 4 wire O2 sensor anyway about the wires I found out already I bought the manual and is there so I match all wires with the right sensors and all i got hanging now is that plug for the bottom O2 sensor right before the cat converter so any ideas of what my problem might be??

if your using a p28 ecu you should have 4 wires for the 02 sensor...and the o2 plug wouldnt even be anywhere close to the IACV plug... what plugs hanging? the o2 plug?
