L-Ron Paul is allot like

L Ron Hubbard

The majority of their beliefs, while in concept superficially rational, are mired in poor thought process and generally followed by myopic people who live in a fantasy world.

PS will it be released initially only in hardbound or will it be printed in 2-ply?

I have more time now so I'll expound...

Thomas Jefferson possessed the hand that wrote the declaration if independence. A document which claimed that freedom was mandated by God himself.

Jefferson was also not opposed to securing those freedoms through warfare, neither was he opposed to foreign help in doing so (France aided the colonies militarily during the revolution and Jefferson never opposed the notion, I'm sorry if History's reality doesn't mesh with your lose interpretation of the bill of rights).

The founding fathers were by all rights conservatives, Jefferson and Franklin being two of the more moderate but still would be right of McCain. There is a popular notion, by those who would find it convenient, to paint our founding fathers as Libertarian Liberals who would be Pro Choice, pro Amnesty, Pro Defiance, this is simply not true. If you want to know how the founding fathers treated decenters ask Aaron Burr. While they would agree with Paul's views on personal liberty they would also most likely say that Paul's military opposition, and yours, amounts to treason punishable by death.

There is zero record in there words or actions which would prove otherwise.

and I'm sure my signature has great meaning for you, members often find themselves the most attached to whatever group is mentioned.

But this conversation would be better suited on http://www.conflictingviews.com/, as we have a no politics rule on HS

so if i read you right, you think ron paul is a liberal? and that mccain is conservative??

also spellcheck owns you, and i meant that "and me" in your sig now means "and me, the biggest idiot" instead of "and me, some smart guy."

and, for the record i didn't intend to have this conversation when i created this thread; i wanted to inform HS members that there's some new lit to read, not see you who has accomplished *so* much in life bash someone like ron paul and his new book.

AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY MILITARY OPPOSITION?????

you don't know shit about me or what i believe.

man, i punt you.

yeah oops i let my inner redhead out. :D

but seriously don't make assumptions about what i believe or value, just because i say a book is available. chreeesto. if i was married to silverchild his nuts would be under an icepack.

well if your pro ron paul then you're against what the military is doing for the 25 million inncent people in Iraq, anyone with a retreatist agenda is a liberal regardless of what they call themselves.

I myself am not very happy with what's going on in Iraq. But that's exactly why we need to win. Wars are not won when they're ended they're ended when they are won.

Leaving now would do exactly two things:

Lead the former country of Iraq into virtual sectarian genocide

Further destabilize the region into greater conflicts down the road.

You need look no further then what happened in Vietnam following our "redeployment" to understand the genocide issue, and no further then the way we bailed on Germany without rebuilding them after World War 1 to understand why leaving early would breed further conflict.

Don't forget you have Iran standing by to "fill whatever power vacuum occurs in Iraq" (actual quote from Iran's government)

The fact that it's currently a financial inconvenience to be in Iraq does not change the stakes or the reality. Ron Paul and his followers subscribe to "The Politics of American Convenience", which is an unfortunate byproduct of the success in this country, we're afraid to get our hands dirty with anything anymore.

ok seriously, just read his book or shut up. that's all this thread is about. you can go have your political debate on conflictingopinions.cow by yourself. i'm not having a debate over what's right and wrong here. at the very least since you are SO anti ron paul, you would probably get more ammunition to use against him if you read his book.

sure, then, using your logic I'll go on to read Mein Kamph, Bin Laden's personal writings, Al Shapton's latests works, interviews by David Duke and other KKK Grand Wizards etc

on second thought, naw, I'll leave books written by myopic bitter people alone.

there is great value in all of the literature you just mentioned, regardless of whether it conflicts with or affirms your own views. that you fail to see it shows your OWN myopic bitterness.

keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer.

Come talk to me when you've carried 210 rounds and an M16 on foreign soil after 911, during a 14hr shift to protect a base which don't belong to your country, from enemies who wouldn't be attacking your country.

Then you should be sufficiently life experienced to speak on foreign policy free from myopias.

*hides* I agree that reading controversial material does help to show you certain values. Discrediting it simply because of what it's been 'hyped up' or talked about to be is pretty closed minded. I've read Mein Kampf and I must say, it's interesting. Do I think Hitler was justified? Hell no. I simply want to know what the fuss is about.

didn't i already tell you to shut up? goddamn motormouth.

more then a little humorous that you one day plug a libertarian , and the next yell at me to stop invoking the first amendment

your a rather conflicted person aren't you?
