whats does jdm in the jdm spec stand for. i always thought it was just a company but it seems to be becoming a mainstream thing as if it means something specific so if it does what is it

Edm = European domestic market
It's not any specific company, it just means parts that were designed for the Japanese market. It could mean engines or interior parts only find on Japanese-spec cars, or it could also mean after-market parts that were only available in Japan (this is debatable though). Basically it just means any part that was available on the Japanese versions of our cars that's different then the part that we got....
