my cars go fast
figured id post the progression of my latest and greatest. i sold my project turbo integra last week and im starting fresh. the shell is a CLEAN 91 hatch. it is currently without suspension sitting in my warehouse in wilmington, so whenever the struts get here, ill be able to get some wheels on it and tow it to my place. im hoping it will happen tomorrow.

i'll miss her, but, the new setup will be well worth it!

my motor just came in today. got the whole swap from jdmexchange.com in philly. they delivered for 1800 shipped including axles, linkage and ecu!

looks great, should be a blast when you get done.

finally had some time to pull the old motor. a couple of my boys were tryin to talk me into doing a wire tuck, but im not really willing to devote that kind of time when i dont really give a shit;) started gutting it as well

now im waiting on the clutch, timing belt and water pump to get here, as well as the dpfi to b16 harness i ordered from rywire.com. +1 to rywire for the headache relief!

you either did a damn good job removing all the tar sound insulation, or someone painted all your tar! good luck with the swap though ^^ keep us posted.

threw the motor in today.

i still need the bracket that bolts to the engine for the rear motor mount. its like $65 from the dealership.

i put the teg seats in as well

i still need si knuckles, the std splines are too small for b series axles. im having trouble finding a pair, so if anyone knows anywhere, let me know. once i get these parts, i'll start the boost kit install. theres no rush for me mainly because i wont have a drivers lisence for at least 7 more weeks:(

+1.... i'd take a picture of the back of my rex, but i'm ashamed of the thing. at some point the carpet was held down with liquid nails.... not joking. it's all over the hard brake lines that run down the side of the passenger door jam. luckily most of it was on top of tar, which i could chip off.

UPDATE: im a lazy mofo. bottom line. finally finished the swap today. the hasport shift linkage was sitting at my front door when i got home from work, and i was compelled to just do it. i dont know why i procrastinated on it for so long, this was like the easiest swap ive ever done. the rywire.com harness was the shit. made it a true plug & play swap.

i started repainting the rear hatch. its hard to tell the contrast from this pic, but it looks much more vivid in real life

got the center console from a buddy of mine. it adds a much cleaner look when the shifter isnt coming out of a rubber boot on the floor. the lever itself is super short with the b&m unit bolted in.

i put the crx si cluster in. looks nice.

the best advice i can give you applies only if you dont mind spending a little extra coin(about $300) to make the swap go ultra smooth.
1) make sure you have the rear engine mount bracket. like i said, $60 from the dealer. i got mine for $16 shipped on ebay. also make sure you have properly sized knuckles
2) goto rywire.com for the conversion/swap harness. the quality is amazing and it saves hours
3) hasport shift linkage. ive broken poorly welded modified da linkage a couple of times. its like $150 shipped

you can use EG or integra knuckles, if you use integra ones you need the brakes and rims to clear them, my friend did the integra knuckles and they look really cool and because they're bigger help you to stop quicker too.

how'd those teg seats fit in? did you retro fit 'em???

ive been asked about this a few times. i wish i had taken pics with the seats outside the car! its impossible to get good shots of what i did with em in. illl document it if i take em back out;) . anyway, 2 holes line right up. if sitting in the seat, they are the front left, and rear right. the other 2 were "egged out" with a dremel. then i used new bolts with larger washers. a little "massaging" is also necessary(some ppl call it "beating")--jk it wasnt that much. the rails dont bind, the seats sit in the perfect spot, and they appear to be oem

finally had some time yesterday, and finished everything. she fired right up and runs great--all with only 1 code, which is 5, for the map sensor i think. the clutch is a little grabby, but ill get used to it im sure. exhaust coming next week, its got an open header, so its loud as shit especially when vtec engages, and all is well
