so my radiator fan was working then i took the swap out to build it put it all back in and it didnt work. I ran power and ground to it and it turned on so i thought it might be the temp sensor so i bought a spoon one and swaped it and still nothing. Any ideas? the car only overheats when i am idling for a long time. driving is fine but not sitting I wanna get this taken care of before it starts getting hot out.and i dont want to put a toggle switch on it i want it to be fixed right

well if you checked the motor its self and also put a new switch in check the fuses

If it comes on when you put current directly to it, than the fan/clutch is obviously working. Your fan switch/relay is probably the culprit.

great, now do the opposite. turn the switch on with the key on, and check for power at the plug (it shouldn't be there.) and work your way back from there. you'll need a service manual to trace the wire back to the source, and check all the connections along the way. if it all worked fine before you took it out, i'd wager to say you damaged the wiring during the removal/re-installation.

yeah because i checked the fuse and it was shot and so i replaced it and still nothing and then i swapped the relay with one i knew worked and still nothing so i guess i will have to check the wiring.

Thanks
