Salute a bad bitch!
I want to do an automatic to manual conversion on my 1999 Honda civic ex coupe, but I am not sure of all the parts needed. Can someone or anyone please help me? Thanks in advance :)

tranny, clutch pedal assembly clutch, ecu, interior shifter, linkage, tranny lines, master cylinder, slave cylinderand i think a few others i got a tranny for 130 plus shipping since you in ga its a 99-00 d16y8 tranny just the tranny though

About what? 3 G's in labor and parts.

That depends on where you take it. I've seen them going for anywhere from $500 - $3,000. The cost would also be somewhat dependent on whether you're providing the parts or not...

I am looking for a Y8 manual tranny full swap pm me I am in Canada though =/

I know it will be expensive, but I want to turn this into my project car and then a track car. So if I have to save money up just to what I want to it, then I will...If it doesn't work out then maybe something better will come a long..We will see what happens but as of now my plan remains to do a 5 speed conversion and a ls vtec turbo...

You get what you pay for, right ?

Right, yeah, but $3,000 seems a little excessive. There are two very reputable import shops in my area, and both of them quoted me around $2,000, LS tranny included to swap my automatic Integra to manual.

You're definitely on the right track doing the 5-speed conversion first...

But if the car is going to have a swap put in it at a later date wouldnt it make sense to do it all then?

I suppose, yeah, if she has the budget for it. A turbo LS/VTEC swap into a D-series equipped Civic is going to cost hella money on it's own, so if she has to divide this build into parts then the auto-to-manual conversion should be the first thing on her list...

True, true, but the point Im trying to make is, the car has auto D-series now, she wants to do and AT to MT conversion on the D-series, and then later on wants to do an LS/VTEC, so she will have to buy the D-series manual tranny and needed parts to do that, then throw it all in the corner when she does the B-series swap.

Fuck too bad you guys dont live closer I can do that swap in 2 days for a good price! Just did it for my 95 ex coupe daily driver. The worst part is swapping the pedal set because you have to unbolt the steering column and pull it back. Your back will hurt for a couple days after you get it all together!

I found most of my parts online on ebay. I got good deals and everything worked great. I did replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder for peace of mind.

I could probably come up with all of the parts and do the swap for $1600.

Wow so much to do, I have been reading on this for about a week now, and I am starting to think I should just get an rsx-s or something, but I dont know I love my car and want a project car so bad...I need to keep reading...I want to do everything at once so I wont do anything until I have enough money for all the labor and parts..

Your best bet would be to sell the car you have now buy something a maybe little bit older and a lesser trim level and start with that for your project.

I know I know...decisions decisions...I'm not jumping into anything though..I want to more research, get some quotes and see how much the parts will be and add everything up and look at different options and then go from there, although I would love to stick with my original plan.
