I just bought a 1990 civic hatch for the sake of saving some gas money. It just doesn't seem to have the power that I am used to. I started buying parts and listening to some of my friends about swaping in a b18 from a 91 acura integra. I have the ecu, wireharness, motor supports and the block. I was told I could use my tranny but I just wanted to find a good reference site for this swap or possibly someone with alot of info. on this. I love driving the car but it just doesn't have the pep of my tuned saab. Please help me out.

You can do different things to boost your Civic's performance. You can do the MPFI intake swap and gain noticable power increases without hurting your fuel milage much at all. Or you can do the mini-me head swap to a D16 Vtec head/intake.
I just completed my LS B18 swap into my 90 DX Hatch. Here is a list of what I had to have to complete the swap.
1.1990 Integra B18A1 engine.
2.1991 Integra 5 speed cable shift tranny.
3.1989 Integra non ABS axles.-Required for lowered suspension cars.
4.1990 Integra 5 speed shift linkages-You cut the stabilizer rod to shorten it, and you can use the stock shift rod from your 90 DX. Or you can just cut down both the rods on the Integra set equally. Roughly I think it was 2.25 inches I cut out of mine.
5.Integra Clutch Cable.
6.Integra Throttle Cable.
7.Integra ECU.
8.Integra Front Spindles/Wheel Bearings/Calipers-Larger Brakes for better stopping. You have to have the Integra front wheel bearings for the axles to work.
If your car is a factory SI 5 speed, then it should already have this stuff on it. My DX was a factory 4 speed car so it all had to be changed out.
9.Wiring harness. Mine already had a MPFI swap with a custom harness so all I had to do was plug and play.
10.1990-91 Integra B18 Dizzy.
11. B18 Header-You might can use the factory pipe and just connect it back up to your flange underneath. Mine was too long so I had to cut it and reweld it.
12. Good name brand Conversion Motor Mounts.
13. Check Clutch/Pressure Plate/Throwout bearing and pilot bushing. Replace if necessary since you already have it all apart and out of the car. Also replace the main rear crank seal while you are apart.
Thats pretty much all I can think of that we did to mine.....:D
