I have a 2000 si w/a d16y7 in it. Some have told me that the catalytic should be on the exhaust manifold. My car has an aftermarket 4/2/1 header on it. There is a test pipe on there now but I have an oem cat coming in for it. Why am i being told that the catalytic should be on the manifold? I can see the cut secondary o2 sensor wires right above where the test pipe is. Can someone please clear this up for me?

why is there a a y7 motor in a si car ?...and on the y7 the stock cat it right on the manifold off of the motor, if theres a header on the car that eliminated the cat.

but because the info is choppy if it does have a y8 in it the cat will go under the car the y7 is on the exhaust manifold

hes i trader isnt looking good,,can i do it lol

yea thats not a si,,but that is a y7 motor so the stock cat goes on the exhaust manifold

are you retarded?
The car was repod by honda and before the repo man came by- the old owner swapped the driveline out.

thanks
meek

if you cant understand it.. let me explain.. it was an SI.. it was going to get repo'd.. the owner took the b16 out and put a y7 in thinking Honda wouldnt notice..

the reason i ask theres a lot mote than the b16 missing if its a real si

Yes- like I said, the driveline (new tranny, motor, ecu, axles, shift assembly) is different and the exhaust system has been modified.

Either way- can anyone tell me where the primary o2 sensor location would be on this car?

thanks again
