I would just like to know because i am creating my honda accord to be more like a r34 nissan skyline and the body kit i need only has 90 or above. The body kit is a octane r34 kit. I will be soon also doing a rear swap for r34 nissan skyline tailights and trunk to complete the look. One last thing i have to do also after this is get a h22 engine to swap with my 87 one.

Its not going to look, handle, or have power like a Skyline, so way waste money. Just save your money to do the swap. IMO.

well i'm going to buy the swap first then do that stuff i have the money was just going to convert the front end before i did the swap.

but i still want the accord to look like a 90 accord before i do the swap. Because it would look better without the flip up lights.

Then sell your shit and buy a 90-93 Accord. Swapping the 90-93 front end onto an 86-89 Accord isn't going to be easy at all. For all the money you're going to spend on it you might as well just buy a newer Accord, and then you'll have the benefit of a newer car as well.

Also consider this: swapping an H22 into the 86-89 body style is hard, it involves custom mounts and fabrication. Swapping an H22 into the 90-93 body style is extremely easy. It just drops in and bolts up like stock.

How would it not be hard? Those two cars are completely different. The 86-89 model's front end sits lower to the ground, the hood slopes downward, and it's got a boxy, straight-lined look to it. The 90-93 front end sits up higher, the hood barely slopes down (at least not as far as the older one), and has a more rounded and curvy look overall.

It's not going to be a "pull the old fenders, bumper, and hood off and slap the new ones on" kind of thing. You'd have to fabricate fenders using parts from both cars, you'd have to fabricate headlight and bumper mounting brackets, you'd probably have to fabricate the front cross-member. And if you can't do this stuff yourself (which I doubt you can since you clearly have no clue of how involved it would be), then it's not going to be cheap at all.

It's probably going to cost you at least a couple grand for a shop to do it, so I really don't see the point of it at all. You could spend a couple grand on this retarded conversion, or you could just spend maybe a grand or so and trade in your Accord on a newer one.

The choice here should be obvious...

Hah! Yep, that's what they call me... :D

also i really just want to figure out from this forum or you've heard from someone that has done this because i don't know if i will be able to just go buy a 90 accord just as i please.

the 86-89 accord will look like ass without flip up lights on it, you will needs to cut the car up a lot for it to work, get a new accord or keep it flip up lights.

Honestly I don't think you're going to find anyone around here who's done that. You'll probably have a hard time finding anyone anywhere who's done it. Like I said, that conversion isn't going to be easy, and because of that, I doubt many people (if anyone at all) has attempted it. When you're talking about cars that are 15-20 years old and aren't worth more than a few grand, it really doesn't make sense from a money standpoint to attempt something like that. I've been cruising forums like this for many years now and you're the first person I've ever heard mention it...

that's what i thought because i have the 87 and i have to deal with that for a while not unless i can find a 90 for cheap and sell the 87.

Yeah. Honestly, if you really want to do all the stuff you say you want to do, then selling the 87 and buying a 90-93 model. It just makes sense. The body kit you want only fits that model. The engine you want is a straight drop-in for that model. It would make things a lot easier for you. I say just have some patience and try and get ahold of a 90-93 chassis.

There are things you can do with the older chassis, but from listening to you talk about what you want, it just seems like the 90-93 would be a much better starting point for you...

fenders are not the same, bumper mounts not the same, body lines not the same, rad. support not the same, etc etc etc etc etc.

i bought by prestine 93 accord for 125 dollars.....soooo im going to guess just buying one could be cheaper.

Nothings imposable it can all be done just look at show cars how do you think there cars get to where they are. I put a f22b sohc vtec in my 1986 accord and it had a sc14 supercharger on it and a31 cefiro front end conversion. Was faster than rb25det skylines and a few rb30dets. for the r34 conversion you may need to get a small front cut you will only need from where the headlights bolt in and about 30cm back and weld that on the front of your accord.

Easyest way is to start with the bonnet weld the r34 hinges to the accord hinges or somthing you will figure it out little bit of mecanical mind will help alot, do the gaurds next cut the accord and r34 gaurds and weld together, then do head lights they should bolt str8 on to the small front cut the do bumper may need custom mounts its all easy if you have a welder and a few bits of metal.

and headlights wiring thats somthing i dont no how to do shouldnt cost more than 500 to get all wired up. you will probly have a few angry nights in the shed but its well worth it.
