yea, i kinda did that, but I dont think Ill be needing to swap a B16 into my 10 speed lol. So no bike shops for me. And I do love muscle cars but I dont think theyll be jumping for joy when I roll in with a Civic. Im kinda looking for good and known to be trustworthy Honda shops. I do appreciate the effort though!

Top Setup in Palatine IL is a fairly good shop from what I've heard. I've had no direct interactions with them but 2 of my good friends have. One more than the other. Mainly got a type-r suspension put on his EG, and a D15B swap. The owner, Charlie, has even been featured on Best Motoring, and Tsuchiya loved his K powered EG hatch. If you want to look up the video (on youtube for sure), it's American Touge 1, 2, and 3 I believe (he's in all 3)

BTW I'm over by Gary IN.

I always thought the armpit of America was all of New Jersey. Canton OH, and Denora PA, are close seconds. I have been to a lot of shitty places .

Funny you should mention Canton, that is where I bought the car getting no oil to cylinder two (the reason behind this post.)

Only problem with that is its not running and no offense but I'd rather be there while its getting done. If you'd be willing to help and I can find a way to get it down there that'd be awesome. Ill have to look into that

pm me maby we can work some thing out i aint doing it for free though i have a lift and all other esentials. You will have to let me know in advance as i do lots of transmission work in the evenings at home and waiting on parts can tie up the lift for a few days at a time.

when you work on cars for a living you tend to do lots of side work. A lift is one of the most importand tools that you can have and depending on how you look at it they are not that much hell a decent tool box is 4k

Well I'm ending up selling it. Bills are piling up, especially for rental cars. Someone offered me 4800 cash for spare engine and all. Pretty much barely breaking even but I'm not going to go into debt just to keep the car. Maybe I'll look for a nice EG hatch.

Yea, OneSix quoted 575 plus parts which I know isnt bad but as I said bills keep coming u. mostly high because of all the activation fees Im gettin with just moving here. I get paid bi-weekly which blows. And rentals are 150 a week. im not looking for a handout but if anyone could help thats in the area or knows someone whos good and cheap Ill let them take the old engine AND throw them some cash. I just need it done ASAP. You can check out my old posts to see whats up with the old one. If all else fails Ill have to cut the losses and get a different car. I live in Warrenville right off 88. Ive got no tools with me as I always used my dads stocked garage back in Columbus. ANYONE? ANYTHING? Id greatly appreciate it. Id really rather not sell the car especially for a loss. but if need be any takers?

all in doing is replacing a currently non running completely stock B16A2 with another completely stock but currently OBD1 B16A2. simple enough but impossible without tools or Honda smarts (yes im a born and raised chevy guy.)

Even with Chevy smarts and some basic tools you could do that swap. There really isnt much to it, pull the old one, replace OBDI parts with the OBDII parts, and replace. Your gooing to pay a lot for a shop to do that. To bad you moved from Ohio, I d do it for you.

Yea, well I've got my hands, a Phillips and flathead, side cutters, needlenoses, and a hammer. Those are pretty simple lol. Ill just beat on it with the hammer until it breaks free. Yea, I wish it was in Ohio too. It still would be (well probably not because itd be done and back) if a friend of a friend who had a B18C1 and swapability(?) didnt screw me over.
