Default 1993 Accord Swap

I am very, very, very new to Hondas. I am wanting to take a 93 Accord w/ a automatic, and swap it with a nice engine. I don't really want to get rid of the auto. What is the best and easiest swap for this car. I am not looking for major power just a nice daily driver. I would have to guess that there is something better than the engine that is in it.

H22 or H23, I think you can even use your existing transmission.

you could or save some money and get an f23. you would have to get an obd1 to obd2 conversion harness, wire vtec, and knock and be good to go. if you are not looking for a lot of power id say f23. if you wanted more power in the future they are a good base. you could boost that motor or even put an h22 head on the f23.

Wouldn't the F22B1 make more sense? He wouldn't have to do an OBD conversion that way, and it's only like 5 less horsepower...

stay OBD 1, much simpler.

JDM F22B, H23, or H22 if you like. You can keep your original tranny, or use a JDM auto tranny that matches. Whichever motor you get, buy the ECU that goes with it.

You have the EASIEST of all the platforms to swap, in my opinion. The wiring is simple, and the motor drops right in with no major mods. Read my guide.

true, but the f23's are sweet. roller rockers etc. also a little more tq from the displacement. would make a good g23 in the future.

yeah man that h22 or 23 is the way to go. i just finshed my swap n my 91 accord & OH MY GOODNESS! this a completley different car than it was w/ the f22. i did full swap w/ motor & tranny (5 spd) & the car runs gr8t. just need to adjust the clutch & get the idle str8t & she'll b perfect. this swap truly gives meaning to the name sleeping demon, because no one knows what the beast is capable of. i must say i amm extremly happy w/ how this turned out

sure you could do a h22 or h23 swap... but there are plenty of upgrades you can do to a f22 to turn it into a beast. i have a 93 f22a1 with a homemade turbo kit. i just pulled stuff from a junkyard and im makin close to 210 hp with some extra add ons!

Sure, you could have checked the dates on this thread...but no, you just automatically hit "reply" and responded to a conversation that no one's touched for almost 3 months now!

Nice first post, Einstein...
