My friend is interested in getting an 89 accord for a second car at the moment. I have a complete f22b1 swap from a 94 accord. He wants to know if you can swap it in. I know the f22b1 is obd-1 and the car is obd-0 i believe. Basically will it bolt in (using what mounts) and if so, what needs to be done for the wiring for the obd and for the vtec.

Let your friend down easy, cuz that motor will not bolt up without a decent amount of money. I believe that those had an A20A3. F and H series are pretty much interchangable as far as mounting goes. However, F series came about in 1990, which leaves your friend SOL. Too expensive, cheaper to buy a newer car, or the right engine.
