I have a 1992 Accord LX automatic. After 216,000 miles, it started knocking. A few days after swapping out the motor for a 1993 engine, that one started knocking. I am very frustrated. I would like to put in a much newer engine, most likely a VTEC out of a 1999 or so. Do you guys think that it is too much hassle? I would like to keep my automatic for now, and I can get a computer from a 1999 accord, but how many harness changes need to be done, and extra sensors? I am still unclear about the OBD issue. Thanks. |

The problem is, the different OBD classifications use different plugs. You're better off sticking with an OBD1 engine.
