I need to know if i can put a prelude tranny on my 89 accord. i would also like to know if it would give me any more acceleration out of my accord. And what year perlude tranny do i use. My car is a accord lxi 2.0 fuel injexted

I know that a 92 Prelude transmission is for an H series and will not bolt to your engine. I don't know if A-series and B-series line up. The reference section lists 90-91 preludes as a B20, whereas your Accord is A20.

I'd stick to what you have, and don't expect much of a gain without a lot of work.
IMHO, 90+ accords are a much easier platform to work from. The engine/transmission combinations are many.
