I am buying a bb4 with a h22a swap.

The seller has stated he has documentation for the purchase of the engine and the swap work.

I need to find out how to verify that the engine matches the one in the reciept.

I've been looking around on my lude (yes I already own one) and thought this might be it:

yes, that's the serial number and engine designation.

how can you tell what year it by the serial numbers? does anyone have this info? I'm trying to determine what year my h22a is? Thanks..

It would help if you knew what it came out of originally. If its just an h22 then,
99-01 prelude sir
99-01 prelude
97-01 prelude type-s
h22a1= 94-96 prelude
