O.k especially 'TAB', read on.

the problem with the JDM TCU was that there is an additional signal wire that needs to be added into A7. (A is the larger of the two tcu plugs).

This wire has to come from the Shift Position Console Switch. (At the shifter itself). Take off your center console, on the left side of the shifter (facing towards the firewall), there is a box... with several wires running into it,

you have to splice into the GREEN/WHITE wire and then trace it back to the tcu...plug it in A7 and that's it!

vroom vroom... (don't forget to put the center console back in!)

OK, good to know. I said I wasn't aware of any differences. Now I am. I haven't had to do that yet tho.

Congratulations.

BTW, which TCU did you use?

Where'd you find it? How much better is it, and what's the difference?

I figured it'd hold your rpm's up higher before shifting and stuff, but I am curious.

yah higher shift point. One of my vendors got one for me! Pretty cheap ~ $80. It goes up just a bit past 7K.
