so if the H22 prelude is poorly deigned which would be a better motor swap for a Honda Accord 97 Lx that would bolt in like the H22??

It's not poorly designed. It, or the H23A1, are the best options for an engine swap into an Accord.

It's not that the H22 is poorly designed, just most of us that drive Civics/Integras think that it is the wrong swap for our chassis. For your car it is the correct choice.
