Default New Problem- MPFI swap kills motor!

Hey all,
Well I just completed my MPFI swap on saturday... Very excellent, lots of fun. That is, until I exit off the freeway today and all of a sudden my car sounds like an old volkswagen and is spewing blue smoke out the exhaust and refuses to tay runniung without me pressing the gas (which results in rumbling and more smoke). Did I cook my motor? It's a D15 B2 with almost exactly 330 025 kanadian miles on it.

I'm fairly certain all the coolant lines were hooked up right, there's coolant in the system and whatnot- I might have changed the way the coolant runs through the TB but it still makes the circuit.
Un-fricking-believable that my motor only lasted a day and a half after MPFI!!! :O I hope this was going to happen anyway but I have trouble believing that my work had nothing to do with it...

If it is fried, I'll post a vid of me finishing the job

A whole Si motor (D16A6) would have been ideal, they're pretty strong.

Indeed! So it snowed today and I probably would have died about 3 times if I was driving my EF with those bald ass tires. I might defect over to the Toyota camp and buy a Rav4 or 4runner. Even though my civic fit 3 people with snowboards before, I also have to be able to make it up the mountain
So it's looking like ill have to make a "rally" movie for my civ. Should be a blast to kill that thing off.

My dad crashed out first EF ironically going go Canadian Tire trying to be first in line to get chains and piled it in a ditch.

7 EFs later here we are.

hahaha! Well that kinda sucks a little, but i see you weren't deterred very much!
To be brutally honest I'm kind of sick of my car. (Will I be killed for saying that here?!) And I can't picture buying another EF right now. My somewhat hacky-looking wiring job for MPFI makes me question whether or not an engine swap would be a total disaster ( I know a dude who has a couple engines kicking around :P) All in all I'm pretty confused as to what I should be doing with that pile of scrap metal covered in snow that's sitting on my street. If I'm lucky some dumbass will crash into it (hopefully disabling his/her vehicle in the process) and I can collect some insurance on the mofo.... that would be supreme!
In the meantime... anyone wanna buy a Civic? Runs, has some rust, burns a little* oil. Low** Kms, non smoker***, has exedy stage 1 clutch, XTD 8lbs flywheel, and high performance MPFI with K&N air filter and custom side exit magnaflow exhaust. Custom "4x4 off road" decals(40$ value, according to this body shop I went to). Comes with 2 Baldini POS-X No-Trac racing slicks and 1 mis matched rim. Also includes a bunch of free roaches mashed into the carpet and possibly in the ash tray.

*"Little" in comparison to the amount of oil burned by every tanker ship on the planet in one week.
**Low-er than 331000 kms.
***This car has never smoked a cigarette!

Thanks for your support guys!! I have a lot of thinking to do...

A friend did this, before he knew much about hondas he put a dx d15b2 in his Si to replace the d16a6. Mind you we knew nothing about honda stamps back then.

Now inorder for that car to of had run right it would need the a6 cam and gear, Since he was using the whole d15b2 he had to advance the dizzy as far as it would go so it would even run decent.

That and it liked to shoot fire cause it was dumping more fuel and eventually started spitting oil and smoking cause the rings were shot from the abuse we put it thru and the car the motor came from was in a roll over and sat on its roof for a while. But it also sat in a garage for months.

Just go to the junk yard and grab an A6 and swap it in there.

I used to put my 300k accord in first gear and ride it binging off the limiter just to prove there tough. It sucked when the windshield broke and i retired it.
