Can you use the B16 OBD 1 engine harness (the onee that came with my B16) in an OBD 0 civic?
Can you just plug the big round connector into the original plug that goes into the car? If so, how or where can i find wire diagrams and instructions how? Thank you. |

I asked this same question once and from what I was told it will not work with out lots of modification to the wiring. I think it's something with the connectors on the harness not hooking together or something like that. Hopefully someone else will reply to this and be able to explain it better.

No it wont work....
the stuff below has to be 0bd-0 to work distributer injectors alternator engine wiring harness then u have to wire vtec which is: vtec solenoid vtec oil pressure sensor 2nd o2 sensor knock sensor and depending on weather ur civic is DPFI, then u have to wire it up for 4 injectors, and some other stuff. heres a link to a page that will help you with wiring into the ecu(thanks to katman!) obd-0 ecu wiring picture hope this helps Dan __________________

my engine is already obd-1 and is using the d16a6 obd-0 engine harness that then connects to a obd-1 ecu. all i added was the vtec wires to the harness.
i just want to try use the b16 harness because it will fit better around the engine. |
