I'm not considering this swap at all, but out of sheer curiosity, how much work would be involved to throw the RSX-S engine and tranny into an EF hatch? I don't need instructions, but just an idea of the size of the job.

A friend owns a local gas station garage is going to do one for a customer (they've never done any hybrids at all) and asked me how hard it'd be. I told him I'd get back to him, but in a nutshell, it's not worth the hassle.

it was done in one of the tuning mags the only way for it to work is the entire subframe to be swaped

In an EF hatch, it would probably be expensive as hell, though very worth it. It's only been mainly done on EP hatches and 01+ Civics (coupes and sedans).
