i keep getting code 17 wich is vss.. vehicle speed sensor..
but i only get it when i brake hard wile in gear (not real hard) ...
any clue on a fix????

cuz ur supposed to push in the clutch when you stop imassuming you have a manual if not thats the problem right there

iam not talking about stoping
iam just talking about hitting the brakes enuff to prep for on ramps and traffic typ shiznit yo..but thanks for the clutch tip..

how did you hook up the vss? just tape them up? sounds like a loose connection or something.

its a 93 ls
it uses a cable for the speedo
thats what is confusing me

i know that happens when your cable it getting old......get a new speedo cable....happened to me

seriusly damn new cable... how dose the ecu pick up a problem with that?

don ask me..i dont know........i got that code...then my speedo stopped working because the cable was broken.....
